We supply industrial-grade tantalum concentrate sourced directly from Ethiopia, independently inspected and shipped weekly by air (CIF terms). The actual composition and specifications are defined in the Sales & Purchase Agreement (SPA).

Chemical Composition (minimum guaranteed):
– Tantalum pentoxide (Ta₂O₅): ≥ 30% – Niobium pentoxide (Nb₂O₅): ≥ 10% – Combined: ≥ 40%
Impurity limits:
– Antimony (Sb): ≤ 0.02%
– Uranium + Thorium: ≤ 0.5%
– Tungsten (W): ≤ 1%
– Other elements: must comply with international industry standards (available upon request)
Physical Characteristics:
– Particle size: ≤ 20mm
– Appearance: no visible non-metallic materials (wood, plastic, etc.)
– Moisture content: ≤ 2.5%
Packaging Standards:
– Double-layer: waterproof plastic film inside, strong woven bag outside
– Label includes: product name, grade, weight, batch, supplier, production date
– Marking remains legible under normal shipping and storage conditions
Radiation Compliance & Safety
All tantalum concentrate shipments are analyzed for radioactive elements before export. The inspection focuses on the levels of thorium (ThO₂) and uranium (U₃O₈) to ensure the material is compliant with international safety thresholds.
– Maximum allowable content:
• Thorium (ThO₂): ≤ 0.12%
• Uranium (U₃O₈): ≤ 0.08%
If the concentration exceeds these limits, the material is processed prior to shipment.
Each lot is inspected and certified by an independent agency. Packaging is sealed after inspection, and all seals are checked upon arrival to ensure integrity and compliance.

Valuation & Inspection Process
Sampling & Inspection Protocol
Each shipment undergoes third-party inspection to verify weight and chemical composition prior to departure. The process ensures full transparency and compliance with international quality control standards.
– Pre-shipment inspection: conducted by Alex Stewart International (ASI), an accredited international inspection agency.
– Documentation issued:
• Certificate of Quality
• Certificate of Weight
– At destination port: Buyer may request additional sampling. If required by local regulations, inspection is conducted by CCIC (China Certification & Inspection Group).
– The Seller may appoint a representative to witness the inspection.
– Alex Stewart International inspection costs are covered by the Seller; CCIC-related costs are the Buyer’s responsibility.
Price Calculation Logic
The commercial value of each shipment is determined by the net content of tantalum pentoxide (Ta₂O₅), not the total gross weight of the material.
– Calculation method:
• Net Ta₂O₅ = Gross weight × Ta₂O₅%
• Net kilograms are then converted to pounds (1 kg = 2.20462 lbs)
• Price per pound is referenced from the Asian Metal Market (AMM)

– Note: Nb₂O₅ content is not counted for payment purposes in tantalite contracts.
This model ensures pricing is directly aligned with metal content and current global market rates.
